Westport sea 2 Summit adventure race

The Westport Sea 2 Summit adventure race is a unique event based in the adventure capital of Ireland, Westport. The race will incorporate all the thrills that Westport has to offer, Croagh Patrick, Clew Bay, the Shreffry Mountains and the new Greenway.

Westport Sea 2 Summit is run by Race Director, Padraig Marrey, Overall Winner of Gael Force 2010!

There will be two separate races with three categories in both which will include a mix of road running, cycling, and mountain running. It will finish with a small adventure obstacle course and short sea run.

The Sea2Summit Spirit will cater for the participant that wants a challenge but has not taken part in adventure racing before. Duration time for the fastest will be 2.5 - 3hrs.

The Sea2Summit Supreme is for the participant who wants an extra challenge, the hike up and down the front face of Croagh Patrick (Murrisk ), which will hurt the legs and the back breaking ramps at the Maum climb with definitely test your bike and quad muscles.
Duration time for the elite athletes will be around 3.5hrs.

In these two events, there are 3 categories to choose from in each event:
· Advanced
· Intermediate
· Beginner

You will be asked when registering which category you would like to be in. We ask people to enter themselves into a category so that they will be competing alongside competitors of the same standard.

The S2S Supreme Relay Event will take place over the same route and at the same time as the Solo S2S Supreme race. Teams will be of three people and they will share the disciplines in whatever they wish.
The three classes for the relay teams will be Open Male, Open Female and Open Mixed.
