Tri-athlete and Cyclist team up for Gael Force West

Dave Sands of Liquid Motion Triathlon club Ballina and Padraig Marrey of the Murphy and Gunn cycling team join forces as one team with the aim of winning the 2 person combined event at the Gael Force 6 on Saturday September 1st where the grounds of Westport house will be used at the finishing point.

The Pair are sponsored by the Carlton Atlantic Coast hotel Westport,

The event covers 65k over varying punishing terrains involving running/hiking, cycling, kayaking and the acid test of climbing Croagh Patrick near the finish.

It is expected that it can take up to 6hrs for a generally fit person, but Dave and Padraig hope to be under 4hrs for the combination event.
