Its all go for the 3 climb trial on Sunday, meet and sign on at Murrisk car
park at 10am aim to start climbing at 10.30am. Anyone who has been injured
or suffered sickness in the last few weeks is advised to seek doctor's
advice, all participants will be asked to sign a waiver.
We will have a limited amount of water and food so advisable to BYO.
The weather in the West of Ireland is always changeable so bring appropriate
clothing.
Tips · Cut your toe nails · Use talc powder on skin before putting on socks · Use good quality socks · Use good quality trail runners or boots · Bring spare socks and under garments · Eat a good dinner the night before and breakfast 3hrs before the event. · Keep hydrated during the event. · Pace yourself, the aim is up and down in about 90mins
February 20th sign on at the Croagh Patrick Car park from 10am. Cost ?10,
pays for refreshments and back up personal.
The trial will be 3 times up the Reek around the church at the top and back
down to Car park.
To be considered for the next stage participants must complete the 3 ascents
and descents inside 5hrs.
After the trial a short discussion will take place in Campbell's pub to
discuss future training and trial days. Charity organisations might be
interested in using the venture to raise money, this may be an option but
the GOAL is to succeed and set an outright record.
