November Preparation Camp.
Training camps are meant to be a learning experience, well that’s what was achieved at the camp which was held last weekend the 11th and 12th of November.
28 inquisitive souls turned out for the weekend camp held at the adventure centre in Cong Co Mayo.
Many of the participants were surprised and delighted to know that Dave O Loughlin and Mark Scanlon would be joining them on the cycle spins, the lads did more than that, as the gave useful tips to all that asked.
Condition was dry and windy for the weekend which added to the enjoyment, as all tasks were completed without getting a drop of rain.
No fewer than 5 coaches were on hand to give lectures, talks and demonstrations During the training spins they gave out advice at will while also conducting a session plan on each of the days training spins.
The camp was entitled the “Preparation Camp”, and that’s was what was achieved over the 2 days.
A sincere thanks must go to all the Coaches Dave Mc Call, Jay Daly, Mary Mulchrone, Dave O Loughlin, and John Newell who all delivered specific sessions and the back up team of Ray Mc Hugh, Geraldine Marrey, Willy Connolly and Kathleen and Theresa Mulchrone who attended all the cyclist needs, and to Gerry and Margaret Collins who made the facilities available for the weekend.
Everyone left the camp motivated and excited for the next camp, which will be held on the 20th and 21st of January entitled “The Get Ready Camp”. So a great chance to cycle off the Christmas blues and excess calories, book now to reserve your place.
