New Triathlon club for South Mayo

The newly set up Tri Lakes Triathlon club is holding an enrolment night at Gannon's bar Ballinrobe on Tuesday the 23rd of March from 8 to 10pm.

The club will cater for the needs of open water swimmers and people who want to take up triathlon, last year a group of 25 local swimmers swam across Lough Mask and this year the same feat is to be repeat on Sunday the 5th of September.

The club's first official event will be held in early May with a swim across Lough Corrib from Kilbeg pier Headford to Knockferry pier on the Oughterard side a distance of 500m.
