Marrey for British RTTC 24hr championship.

Padraig Marrey of the Western Lakes CC is competing in the British 24hr championship held in Merseyside England next weekend the 26th of July, where participants try to do as many miles as possible in 24hrs.

Marrey is looking to try and break the current Irish record of 456 miles set by Dave Mc Laughlin Dundrum.

Marrey is the current Irish record holder for the Mizen to Fair heads route and was also recently involved as coach to the crew and riders who did the RAAM and came 2nd overall in the 4 person team section , he has accumulated a lot of knowledge over the past few years re Ultra endurance events and how best top to prepare for them.

Next Monday the 27th will tell if he can put the theory in to practice
