MARREY TRAINING SYSTEMS

stand out from the crowd

Diary of 2010 Season

Started training early (November 09) with a good mid week spin and a hard spinning class on a Thursday, every Saturday or Sunday did either an MTB or road session. Even when the bad weather kicked in still got out for either hill climbing session or again on the MTB.
During the week of Xmas spent a week in Portugal at a friends place and did a good 7 days either cycling or running, the weather was cold and wet but at least I could get out whereas at home it was freezing and the roads were like glass.
Those 7 days set me up nicely for January and February, training 4 days a week, did either a run or cycling session logging up about 12-15hrs a week.
On the first week of March a gang of us went to Italy for a week’s training camp but this turned out to be another cold, wet, snowy week of training but still managed about 400 miles over hilly terrain.
The season was mainly 2 parts, up till July it was nearly all cycling, from July to November a mix of Adventure racing, MTB, Triathlon and running.

The first few races took me a while to get going but still placed in most of them.
