PEZULA riders Morgan Fox, William Connolly and potential Olympian Dave O Loughlin attended the Training camp which was held in lovely mild winter sunshine conditions

22 individuals who signed up for the first phase of the Marrey Training Systems winter coaching days, abilities ranged from youth to seasoned leisure riders from professional to beginner.

The objectives were outlined before hand to all the attendees, who were all motivated and eager to get going on their bikes .The bike spin which was broken into 2 groups with each having backup vehicles to cater for their every need.

The spins lasted three hours in which individuals did specific cycling efforts to highlight their weakness with the aim here to help improve their cycling technique whist working on their physical capacities.

After lunch Padraig Marrey gave a presentation on training and the principals that need to be adhered to over the winter..

Jay Daley, gave a very demonstrative expedition of how to stretch properly and how to use weights for the benefit of cycling

Morgan Fox gave an insight of the type of training he has completed for his first World Cup track meet in Beijing, he talked a lot re the training and development of the energy systems and how he has found this to be totally different approach to what road racers do.

Youth riders that were present were gob smacked by the information and experiences they listened to over the day and I would say it’s a day they will not forget for a long time.

MTS would like to thank the staff of the Cong Adventure centre for the hospitability

Next camp date is 23rd and 24th of January 2008. watch this space
