Adventure racing has exploded throughout the country here are a few events in 2010 that wet the appetite ..

Days Adventure Duathlon. March 27th 2010

Route:
Start at the Days Hotel with a 3k run via Lough Lannagh village to St Pats School on the Rathbawn road to Transition area 1, collect bike at bike set up area in school car park, cycle 7k on a hilly route out the Rathbawn road towards Glenisland turn right on to track for the Mast for Transition area 2, Park bike, then run up 4.1k to the Mast top, give your number at the top then back down again to Bike transition area 2, this run is mostly on fire track. Cycle 15k towards Glenisland and then back to Castlebar via Newport/ Castlebar Rd (Please obey the rules of the road) back to St Pats School for Transition area 1, park bike and run 3k in opposite direction of the first run to the finish line at The Days hotel. Total distance is 35k

Date March 27th.

Start time 9am

Registration Friday 26th from 7-10pm and on Saturday 27th (limited) 7.30-8am.
