Padraig Marrey Gaelforce Champion and Race2Glory race coordinator will be holding a training day in Kiltimagh in preparation for Race2Glory on the 16th July 2011.
Training will take place on the 25th May at 7.30pm (Registration 7pm) starting at Kiltimagh GAA Pitch. The training evening is open to any persons interested in Adventure Racing and is free of charge to all signed up Race2Glory participants and just €10 for anyone else interested.
The training will include advice on running, cycling and transition technique, so bring your running and cycling equipment.
Race2Glory promises to be a fantastic race and Padraig believes it to be the best training available for anyone interested in competing in GaelForce West 2011. The course involves a 10Km run, 23Km cycle and a final 7Km Run.
After scaling Spankers Hill, Craggagh Hill, running through Bog and dipping your toes in Glore River, participants can take in some of Mayo’s finest views from the top of Sliabh Cairn (850ft).
